About Border Collies
It all started when...
sheep herders in Wales and Scotland needed help in locating sheep that would roam the hilly mountain areas and become lost from the view of the shepherd. The sheep would find themselves in places that were hard for the shepherd to enter and navigate. The border collie was developed by taking their best dogs and selectively breeding them until they had the most focused and capable dog to accomplish the work involved with herding. These border collies were amazing at understanding and reading the movement of the sheep and had an uncanny ability to herd, maintain, and control them. They became a herding sensation, and became extremely important to the shepherd

About Cutter Creek Ranch
Out here at Cutter Creek Ranch, we take pleasure in focusing on the simple things. We are a small, family-owned operation. We grow our own organic produce, raise farm fresh eggs, and work hard to preserve our heritage.
We also share our lives with our border collies. Our collie friends work right along side us, whether tending the garden or feeding the animals
We are located less than an hour's drive from Mesquite, Texas, just outside the Dallas/Fort Worth metroplex.
We have a great group of dogs with excellent temperaments, and bloodlines. All of our border collies are purebreds, and registered with ABCA, the American Border Collie Association.
Every dog gets treated with love and respect. Our dogs are happy and healthy and enjoy the fresh country air. They get plenty of sunshine, and plenty of exercise every day, chasing frisbees, squirrels, and the occasional loose chicken. Along with closely monitored diets, a steady dose of genuine affection keeps our dogs looking and feeling great. All of our puppies are vaccinated at age appropriate times.
The early developmental stages of a puppy's life can have a dramatic and lasting impact on their personality. That's why we take great care to provide structure, kindness and affection to each and every puppy here at Cutter Creek Ranch. You can rest assured that we have given them the best start possible in life.
The border collie loves people, does extremely well with children, and makes the perfect family or farm dog.
