Thanks for purchasing a puppy from Cutter Creek Ranch.  We love our canine friends and take pride in providing them with a healthy, safe, and enjoyable start in life.  We hate parting with them, but we love to see them go to good homes where they will be well cared for, and where they can continue to feel loved.

As they become a part of your family, we look forward to keeping in touch with you as their new owner, and hope that you will feel comfortable with keeping us updated on their progress, when you have the time.

The Border Collie is an amazing breed.  We continue to be impressed with their eagerness to please, and their unparalleled intelligence.  Their loyalty, tirelessness, and work ethic  goes unmatched in the dog world.

We want you to be completely satisfied with your new friend, and will always be willing to help in any way we can.  Please feel free to contact us at any time with any questions or concerns that you may have.

Terms of Sale

Proper Care and Nutrition: When you purchase your puppy, you are taking on a long-term commitment to provide a safe, loving home for your pet. This includes daily attention, a protected environment, daily exercise, adequate grooming, nutritious dog food, and access to water.

Veterinary Care: Your Border Collie should receive standard veterinary care, including recommended vaccinations, and a commitment to the health and well-being of your pet.

Safety: Your Border Collie should never be transported in an open bed of a pick-up truck (unless crated), left free to roam unsupervised outside of your property, or subjected to abuse or neglect.

Continued Care: If, for some reason, you are no longer able to care for your puppy, when you sign this contract, you are agreeing that you will do everything possible to place your pet in another safe and loving home.

Socialization: In order for a Border Collie to grow up well-adjusted and live amiably with people and other dogs, it is important for them to receive quality socialization experiences throughout their lives; this is especially critical when they are young. The breeder will provide initial puppy socialization, but it is the buyer’s responsibility to continue spending quality time to provide nurturing and education to further develop desired behavior traits.

Grooming and Appearance: Cutter Creek Ranch cannot guarantee adult size and color. Changes may occur as a dog develops. Part of the responsibility as a pet owner is also to provide appropriate grooming for your pet. Border Collies require regular maintenance to keep their coats healthy, clean and manageable. This includes hair trims, bathing and brushing.

Health Guarantee

Cutter Creek Ranch guarantees, to the best of their knowledge, said dog to be healthy, at time of the sale, and has received appropriate vaccinations and healthcare. The Buyer has Five (5) days from the time of receipt to have this dog examined by a veterinarian. Any request to return the dog to Cutter Creek Ranch for a full refund must be made within this time period and may only be requested should the dog prove to be sick upon arrival. Proof of examination must be provided to Cutter Creek Ranch who also reserves the right for a second opinion from it’s veterinarian of choice.

If the dog is euthanized or in any way disposed of, without a second opinion from Cutter Creek Ranch’s veterinarian of choice, the Buyer waives all rights to a replacement puppy or to any financial payment as compensation.
All veterinarians must follow the standard procedures during the initial examination and the seller’s second opinion examination of defects to the dog.

ABCA Registration

Cutter Creek Ranch guarantees that the parents of this puppy are registered  with the American Border Collie Association (ABCA) to insure the buyer of the purity of the breed. In order to complete the registration, Cutter Creek Ranch will need to fill out the registration information and processing fee with the ABCA. The ABCA registered dog will then be eligible to participate in all ABCA events allowed by the ABCA, including but not limited to herding competitions, obedience trials, agility, and other events.

ABCA registration papers will be sent to the buyer as soon as they are received by Cutter Creek Ranch.
